Not just this, Auto Shankar, the Tamil original, has also won immense praise amongst the audience on ZEE5. The video streaming platform has been consistently presenting entertaining content tailored to suit the tastes of the Telugu audience with originals and blockbuster films. Afresh, it’s going to premiere a new crime thriller.
Suri, 6’3” ft tall, is an efficient butcher. He is so popular in the village for the skill that everyone calls him Meka Suri. He is married to Rani who, one day, gets murdered. Who is behind the crime and how does Suri avenge the murder of his beloved wife?
Karthik Kancherla – Simba Entertainment, who distributed Rajinikanth, Aishwarya starrer Robot in North India and was also associated with Nanban/ Snehitudu, directed by Shankar, is now venturing into OTT industry with Meka Suri. He introduces theatre artistes Sumaya and Abhinay as the lead pair. Trinadh Velisala, who worked for films Mosagallaki Mosagadu, Okka Kshanam and Brother Of Bommali, is debuting as a director with the two-part web series. The first part will start streaming on ZEE5 from July 31.
This is an action thriller with crime genre at its core. Pardhu Saina has been roped in as the cinematographer for the series while Prajwal Krish, who had worked on ‘Saroja’ (Kannada) in the past, has composed the music for the series. Meka Suri on ZEE5, premieres on July 31.
