YS Sharmila, the president of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Telangana Party (YSRTP), revealed the wedding plans of her son, YS Raja Reddy, on the first day of the year. Confirming the speculations surrounding her son’s impending marriage, Sharmila took to social media, formally known as ‘X,’ to share the delightful news.
Expressing her happiness and extending New Year wishes to everyone, Sharmila happily disclosed that her son, YS Raja Reddy, is engaged to Atluri Priya. The engagement ceremony is set to take place on January 18, followed by their wedding on February 17, 2024.
Moreover, Sharmila mentioned an upcoming visit to the YSR ghat at Idupulapaya, where they plan to visit with the soon-to-be bride and groom to seek blessings from her late father, YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
She wrote, “Wishing everyone a blessed 2024! Delighted to share the news of my son YS Raja Reddy’s engagement to his sweetheart Atluri Priya on January 18th, with their wedding set for February 17th, 2024.”
“Tomorrow, we’ll visit YSR ghat at Idupulapaya, accompanied by the soon-to-be bride and groom, to present the first invitation card and seek Dad’s blessings,” she added.
A heartwarming gesture was witnessed as YS Vijayamma, Sharmila’s mother, welcomed Priya Atluri into the family by presenting traditional Indian attire, including bangles and a saree, at their Lotus Pond residence in Hyderabad. Priya Atluri, the granddaughter of Atluri Vijaya Venkata Prasad, the owner of the renowned Chutneys food chain, met YS Raja Reddy during their pursuit of master’s degrees in the United States.
