The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a preliminary charge sheet on Wednesday in the knife attack case on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Leader of Opposition. The details of the charge sheet would be made public by the month end, January 25. In the charge sheet, NIA named J Srinivasa Rao as the accused number 1 and also submitted the written letter by the accused. Interestingly, NIA had filed the charge sheet hurriedly, if delayed the accused would have gotten bails if NIA doesn’t file charge sheet in 90 days.
YSRC spokesperson Vasireddy Padma stated that Chandrababu Naidu’s government is imposing impediments to prevent NIA from the investigation, but she underlined that truth would come out. “The manner in which the TDP government is trying to hush up the Vizag airport case makes it clear that big names are involved in the conspiracy case which has resorted to the dirty politics of physically eliminating the popular leader whom they cannot match on any count,” she said.
