Actor Nithiin is currently busy with the filming of his new movie Robinhood, directed by Venky Kudumula. Additionally, he is also set to star in another film titled Thammudu, directed by Venu Sriram, known for his work on Vakeel Saab. The digital rights for Thammudu have been acquired by Prime Video, and a pre-look poster has been revealed.
What’s interesting about the film is as per the latest reports, in Thammudu, Nithiin will be joined by veteran actress Laya, who will portray his sister. Laya, known for her past roles, makes a comeback to Telugu cinema after a hiatus since her appearance in Amar Akbar Antony alongside Ravi Teja in 2018. The film is set to explore an emotional narrative centered around the bond between a brother and sister, with Sapthami Gowda playing the female lead. Renowned producer Dil Raju is backing the project.
Directed by Venu Sriram, whose previous work includes the successful Vakeel Saab starring Pawan Kalyan, Thammudu promises to delve into the complexities of sibling relationships. The very title, Thammudu, hints at the thematic focus on brotherly affection and protection. This premise has sparked anticipation among both fans and critics, eager to witness Nithiin’s portrayal of a devoted brother navigating various challenges to safeguard his sister’s well-being.
Meanwhile, there’s also talk that Laya might be offered a big role in Ram Charan’s movie with Buchi Babu Sana as well. Laya was a big deal in the early 2000s, and now she’s making waves on social media with her dance videos. Seeing her on the big screen again after so long would be pretty cool.
