He worked backstage for a theater group and gradually transitioned into acting, eventually landing roles in television dramas. It was during this time that he met his future wife, Radhika Pandit. As Yash’s career gained momentum, his parents also relocated to Bengaluru to support him. Though Yash’s parents initially preferred him to secure a government job instead of pursuing a career in cinema, they eventually relented and allowed him to chase his film’s passion. He joined BV Karanth’s drama troupe and worked backstage for daily wages while searching for opportunities in the industry. Yash progressed from being a backup actor to taking on lead roles in dramas. He then transitioned to television, where he starred in the series Uttarayana. It’s interesting to note that he first met his now-wife, Radhika Pandit, during his television days while working on the show Nanda Gokula.

Yash’s journey to fame continued as he became a recognizable face on television, earning a steady income. His parents eventually moved to Bengaluru to support him. However, Yash faced criticism in the film industry for his insistence on thoroughly reading scripts, leading some to label him as arrogant.

However, he made his Kannada cinema debut in 2007 and went on to star in several successful films, earning the nickname Rocking Star.
