Cherry’s Boyapati directorial Vinaya Vidheya Rama is one of the four Sankranthi releases this year. But, the film had to face severe flak from the critics as well as the audience. By the first weekend, the film could get only 55 per cent share. The target to be achieved is still very high.
The film garnered Rs 52 crore share from Telugu states and Rs 6 crore from other places. Worldwide, the share is about Rs 60 crore. But, the total pre-release business of the film is Rs 90 crore. So, the film has to still get Rs 30 crore more. But, the real problems begin from Monday. Will the film manage to get the remaining share or will the collections drop is the question.
Even diehard Cherry fans are not happy with the output. They feel the story has no logic and are asking why Cherry chose such storyline especially after a hit like Rangasthalam. Even Boyapati is being trolled to no end.
