F2 is the only big hit of this year so far. This Sankranthi release has grossed three times the investment and got a share of Rs 85 crore. Now, a sequel is being planned for F2. And the idea is to make F2 into a Telugu series like the hit Bollywood serieses like Housefull and Golmal. The F2 sequel would be F3 and this would release in 2021 Sankranthi season.
A hot debate is on as to who would be the third hero in F3. Initially, there was a buzz that it would be Ravi Teja. Then Nithiin’ name cropped up. In fact, the current buzz is that Dil Raju, the producer, has taken a commitment from Nithiin. In fact, Dil, which they made together, changed their lives forever. They paired up a second time for Srinivasa Kalyanam, but the film ended up as a disaster. Now, the duo wants to churn out a hit. Hence F3, sources close to both Dil Raju and Nithiin say.
Venky and Varun of course will play the first two heroes.
