Will MAD Square cross the ₹50 cr mark at the box office?

Telugu comedy-drama MAD Square, the sequel to 2023’s Mad released in theatres on March 28, 2025. Directed and written by Kalyan Shankar, the film stars Narne Nithiin, Sangeeth Sobhan, Ram Nitin and Priyanka Jawalkar. Backed by Haarika Suryadevara and S. Naga Vamsi, the film has attracted large crowds, especially among youth audiences.

In just 10 days, MAD Square collected an estimated ₹44.28 crore in India. The movie had a strong opening, earning ₹8.5 crore on Day 1 and ₹9.25 crore on Day 3, which was a Sunday. It continued to perform decently through the week, collecting around ₹38.35 crore in its first seven days. With continued support from viewers over the second weekend, the film is now expected to cross the ₹45 crore mark very soon.

The story picks up four years after the events of the first film. Ganesh “Laddu” is in jail, and six students visit him to find out why. He tells them about a series of incidents involving a missing necklace, a resort conflict, and a criminal mastermind named Maxx. These lead to a major twist, eventually landing Laddu in witness protection.

The movie features a big cast including Vishnu Oi, Sunil, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Satyam Rajesh, Raghu Babu, and others. Reba Monica John also makes a special appearance. The film’s music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, with editing by Navin Nooli and cinematography by Shamdat.
