During a podcast interview, Sudeep shared his thoughts on stepping back from the spotlight. While discussing the concept of retirement, he stated that it doesn’t stem from a lack of passion for acting but rather a natural progression in life. He remarked, “Every hero becomes a bore in the end. Each one has a shelf life as a leading man.”

The actor also shared about his current approach to rejecting scripts, explaining that it’s not due to poor quality but his desire to focus on specific projects. He said, “The ones I give up on are not bad; it’s about what I want to do at this point of time.”

While discussing retirement, Sudeep reassured fans that he wouldn’t entirely leave the film industry. Instead, he plans to explore filmmaking through direction and production. According to him, this shift stems from feeling creatively fulfilled with his acting career, especially in lead roles.

Moreover, Sudeep recently announced that he would no longer host the reality show Bigg Boss Kannada after completing 10 successful seasons. This decision adds further weight to the speculation about his gradual retreat from the limelight.
