Will Game Changer get benefit shows despite Telangana’s ban?

Ram Charan’s much-awaited film Game Changer is set to release in early 2025, starring Kiara Advani and directed by Shankar. The film is already attracting significant attention and is expected to make a big impact in Telugu states. However, a recent development has raised questions about the film’s benefit shows.

On December 6, the Telangana government announced a ban on benefit shows, which had been a common practice for major films in the state. These shows allow fans to watch movies before their official release, often raising excitement and anticipation. Producer Dil Raju has confirmed that Game Changer will follow this tradition and have benefit shows in both Telugu states. Despite the ban in Telangana, he expressed confidence in properly planning and conducting these shows.

The decision comes shortly after the ban was imposed in Karnataka, which affects all major releases. The ban was introduced to ensure fairness in the distribution of tickets and maintain a level playing field for all films. However, Dil Raju’s statement suggests that Game Changer may still have some benefit shows, though it’s unclear whether the restrictions in Telangana will affect them.

The film, produced under Sri Venkateswara Creations and backed by Zee Studios, will feature Ram Charan as an IAS officer battling corruption. The director, Shankar, praised Charan’s acting skills and screen presence, stating that his versatility made him the perfect choice for the role.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Game Changer, which is set to be a thrilling political drama. The film’s release is expected to coincide with the Sankranti festival in January 2025.
