Why Vishwambhara is yet to seal an OTT deal

Chiranjeevi’s upcoming socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara, directed by Vassishta, is currently in the post-production phase. The movie has completed shooting, and the team is now working on extensive CGI effects in both Hyderabad and Hong Kong. However, fans are concerned as there have been no major updates from the makers.

Initially planned for a Sankranti release, Vishwambhara faced continuous postponements. The release was rumored to happen in March, then shifted to April or May, and later to August or September. According to recent reports, the makers are now eyeing a June or July release.

A surprising issue surrounding Vishwambhara is the lack of an OTT or satellite rights deal. Unlike Chiranjeevi’s previous films, where streaming platforms eagerly acquired the rights, this time, no deal has been confirmed. This unusual scenario has raised many eyebrows in the industry.
