Why Trisha Krishnan rejected SS Rajamouli’s Film?
Trisha Krishnan, a well-known name in Indian cinema, once turned down an offer to star in a film directed by SS Rajamouli, one of the most successful filmmakers in the industry. This decision surprised many, considering Rajamouli’s incredible success with films like Baahubali and RRR.
In 2010, Rajamouli was looking for a female lead for his film Maryada Ramanna, starring actor Sunil. Trisha was initially offered the role opposite Sunil. However, Trisha declined the offer because she felt the movie, being a comedy, might not be the right fit for her career at that point. Sunil was primarily known for his comedy roles, and Trisha believed that being part of such a film could have a negative impact on her career.
As a result, actress Saloni Aswani replaced Trisha in the film. Maryada Ramanna became a big hit, and for Sunil, it marked a turning point in his career, making it a memorable film in his filmography.
Interestingly, since then, Trisha and Rajamouli have not worked together on any film. Despite this, both have continued to have successful careers. Rajamouli is currently busy working on his highly anticipated film SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra. On the other hand, Trisha has a number of exciting projects lined up, including Vidamuyaarchi with Ajith, Vishwambhara with Chiranjeevi, and Thug Life with Kamal Haasan.
