There was a palpable anxiety that was visible on the face of Samantha. The nervousness was apparent when she walked on to the stage amidst loud bursts of cheers from her fans. Samantha looked as exuberant as she has been all through her career. Amidst the media glare, she tried to look happy, exhibiting gratitude to her fans and colleagues in the industry, at the trailer launch event of ‘Shaakuntalam’ on Monday. But the question was inevitable -why Sam looked visibly nervous, or rather anxious?
The attention shifted to the ‘japamala’ that she was holding when she sat with the film team Dev Mohan, producer Dil Raju, director Gunasekhar, daughter-producer Neelima Guna. A few journalists got curious as to why Sam held the loop in her hand although she hasn’t disclosed any signs of recitation during the event.
Ever since Sam is down with myositis, there have been different theories doing rounds around her ill-health. Cooked-up stories on YouTube and web gave an impression that she is lying on a death bed. Born into a Christian family, Sam converted her religion and became Hindu. Her posts on social media accounts suggests gave sneak peak how she keep visiting Hindu shrines with her close friend in the industry. Ever since Sam fell sick with the disease, the actress has been reciting ‘japa’ to bring her health back to normal. Inspite of her ailing health condition, she looked tried to put up a happy face but apparently her nervousness couldn’t shield her from hiding. It is learnt that Sam is reciting 10,008 mantras times each day to improve her health.
Just after the team launched the trailer of Shaakuntalam, the discussion slowly drifted towards Samantha’s health. It’s not about the works of vfx nor it was about the grandeur of the film that makers showed in the trailer, the topic was all about “Samantha’s health” that took the centerstage. The poor fans were as sad as they were happy initially.
