It looks Puri Jagannath hasn’t learned from his past mistakes. He was badly bruised with ‘Liger’. His contemporaries like SS Rajamouli and Sukumar are moving ahead in the race with amazing content.
Down deep, there must be some pressure that’s not making Puri Jagannath sleep. Racking his brains for fresh stories, he would fly off to the scenic environs of Goa or Maldives or Mumbai. Out of the blue, he appears with a podcast unveiling his philosophical side. But the question is – Has Puri loosened himself up? Are his creative juices flowing to get the desired scripts?
Megastar Chiranjeevi once advised him to pick stories from other scriptwriters. He is not doing it. Probably because of my ego or whatever… ! Even if he does it, he has a win-win situation. Because NTR starrer ‘Temper’ came to him like that. He picked it from another writer, and it went on to become a hit.
It is learnt that he narrated a couple of stories to Megastar and was rejected. Megastar advised him to come up with something fresh. Again, he also narrated a script idea to Ram Charan recently. Rejected again! What’s going wrong, only Puri Jagannath introspect.
