Sai Kumar began as a dubbing artiste and then began playing villain’s roles. Later, he graduated to hero and is currently doing character roles. It is usually difficult to get villain roles especially after doing hero’s rules.

But, Vamsi Paidipally feels Sai Kumar can be a very effective on-screen baddie. So, in Yevadu, he roped in Sai Kumar to play the baddie against Cherry and Sai Kumar did not disappoint him. But, for some strange reasons, Sai Kumar was never cast as a villain. Now Vamsi has again offered villain’s role to Sai Kumar for his film Maharshi, which has Mahesh Babu playing the hero. The film will show Saikumar as a classy villain. Sai’s role would be very unique. Allari Naresh will play Mahesh Babu’s best buddy while Pooja Hedge will play the heroine.
The film is being helmed by Dil Raju, Aswini Dutt and PVP – three biggest names in film industry. DSP is scoring the music while Bollywood cinematographer Mohanan is giving cinematography The film is likely to hit the marquee on April 5.
