Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala recently celebrated their wedding in a grand ceremony on December 4. In a recent interview, the actor shared an interesting reason behind asking his wife, Sobhita, to converse with him only in Telugu.

Speaking to The New York Times, Naga Chaitanya revealed his deep connection to the Telugu language. He explained that despite encountering people from diverse linguistic backgrounds, he finds Telugu comforting and filled with warmth. According to Chaitanya, this unique texture of the language resonates with him on a personal level.

He said, “In our industry, we meet people from various linguistic and cultural backgrounds. However, hearing Telugu gives me a sense of belonging and warmth. I often ask Sobhita to speak to me in Telugu so I can stay connected to it and improve my command of the language.”

Naga Chaitanya also shared how Sobhita’s love for Telugu culture and her natural fluency in the language made their bond stronger. He admires her authenticity and connection to her roots, which he believes is a rare and admirable quality.

During the same interview, the couple spoke about their first date, which became a memorable beginning to their relationship. Sobhita recalled how Chaitanya flew to Mumbai to meet her at a café. She described the moment vividly, mentioning she wore a red dress while Chaitanya looked elegant in a blue suit. Reflecting on that day, she referred to their meeting as the start of something special.

The couple tied the knot at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad in the presence of family, close friends, and industry colleagues. The intimate ceremony reflected their desire to keep things personal yet meaningful.
