Goodachari and Geetha Govindam have been receiving phenomenal reception across the audience in domestic and overseas market alike. Goodachari starring Adivi Sesh and Sobhita Dhulipala is a spy thriller, while Geetha Govindam is a rom-com film. We break it down, why Goodachari stands as the winner for us over Geetha Govindam.
- Adivi Sesh – Tollywood James Bond
This is the coming-of-age spy thriller which we Telugu audience always vouched to have our own James Bond version and we found one in Adivi Sesh’s Goodachari, unlike beaten rom-com genres.
2. Freshness
Goodachari comes with novelty. It has all the elements that a spy thriller needs to have; from suspense to keeping us on the edge-of-seat infused with teeny weeny love track keeping audience perspective. Nowhere boredom seeps in and one is glued to the screen till the end. While, Geetha Govindam in unarguably the best rom-com we have seen of late, but it has tread on the beaten trope.
3. Goodachari – top-notch output with few resources
Goodachari made on a budget of Rs 6 crore but looks unbelievable with what the team has pulled off. What has been delivered on the screen is phenomenal. DOP Shaneil Deo has done an exceptional job capturing breathtaking locales which are mind-boggling.
Meanwhile, Allu Aravind presented Geetha Govindam and despite backing by biggies, it looked well, but not exceptional.
As they say, each to their own, Geetha Govindam per se a regular track, it’s Gooachari despite not backing by bigwigs it shines at the box-office and wins our hearts.
