Megastar Chiranjeevi’s classic film Indra was re-released yesterday in celebration of his birthday, and fans across South India are flocking to theaters to relive the excitement. The film, which stars Sonali Bendre and Aarthi Agarwal as the leading ladies, remains a beloved hit in Tollywood. As part of the re-release promotions, Sonali Bendre shared her experiences from working on the film, including the challenges she faced while dancing alongside the legendary Chiranjeevi.

In a recent video message, Sonali expressed her admiration for being part of a project produced by the prestigious Vyjayanthi Movies, led by Ashwini Dutt. Reflecting on her role in the film, Sonali recounted the intense pressure she felt during the shoot of the famous song Dayi Dayi Damma, which was choreographed by Raghava Lawrence.

Sonali Bendre revealed that the thought of dancing with Chiranjeevi, known for his exceptional dance skills, kept her awake at night. She was particularly anxious about the Veena step, an iconic move that Chiranjeevi performed with remarkable precision. As the day of the shoot approached, Sonali admitted that she could hardly sleep, worried about whether she could keep up with Chiranjeevi’s energy and finesse.

Beyond the challenges of Dayi Dayi Damma, Sonali also shared fond memories of filming the Radhe Govinda song on a grand set in Hyderabad. The presence of Chiranjeevi’s family during the shoot added to the joyful atmosphere on set. Sonali even hummed the song’s tune in the video, showing her excitement and nostalgia for those moments.

Indra also features a talented ensemble cast, including Tanikella Bharani, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, AVS, and Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam in significant roles. Directed by B Gopal, with music composed by Mani Sharma, the film’s story was crafted by Chinni Krishna, and the renowned Paruchuri Brothers penned the dialogues.
