Growing up, Sai Pallavi struggled with acne, which made her self-conscious. However, as she matured, she realized that beauty is about feeling confident in one’s own skin, regardless of complexion or imperfections. She highlighted how audiences are often surprised to see her real, makeup-free face in movies, as most actors are traditionally shown with perfect skin.
She explained, “We’ve always seen actors with flawless skin on screen. When someone appears as they truly are, it feels different and refreshing.” This perspective has shaped her career, where she prioritizes authenticity over societal expectations of perfection.
Sai Pallavi also expressed gratitude for working with directors who respect her choice to stay makeup-free. She mentioned filmmakers like Vijay, Balaji Mohan, and Selvaraghavan, who not only accepted her natural look but even preferred it. “I’m lucky to work with directors who let me be myself. I hope my decision inspires young girls to embrace their natural beauty and feel proud of who they are,” she said.
The actress reaffirmed her commitment to staying true to herself, stating she has no plans to use makeup in future projects. Sai Pallavi believes in promoting self-confidence and rejecting unrealistic beauty standards.
On the professional front, Sai Pallavi recently received praise for her role as Indhu Rebecca Varghese in Amaran. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the film is a war biography of Major Mukund Varadarajan, with Sai portraying the martyred soldier’s wife. She has several exciting projects lined up, including Thandel with Naga Chaitanya and Ramayana: Part 1 with Ranbir Kapoor.
