Sai Pallavi is known for her natural looks and makeup-free appearances in films. Unlike many actresses, she chooses to show her real skin on screen inspiring fans with her confidence. In an old interview, she spoke about the pressure actors face to always look flawless and why she prefers to avoid makeup in her films.
Speaking in an interview, Sai Pallavi recalled her struggles with acne as a teenager. She mentioned how people are often surprised to see her natural skin on screen, as they are used to actors with perfect complexions. She stated, “For a long time, actors with flawless skin were the norm. So when someone with real skin appears, it feels different.”
She acknowledged that society often expects actors to have near-perfect skin, which can create insecurities. However, she gradually realized that true beauty comes from self-confidence regardless of one’s skin tone or imperfections.
Sai Pallavi revealed that directors she has worked with have always supported her decision to remain makeup-free. She named directors like Vijay, Balaji Mohan and Selvaraghavan who never pressured her to wear makeup for her roles. In fact, they encouraged her to stay natural.
She expressed happiness that her choice has inspired many young women to embrace their natural beauty. She said, “I feel proud if girls start accepting their natural body image and see me as an inspiration. I will continue to stay makeup-free in the future.”
