
When Rashmika Mandanna’s parents struggled for paying rent
Rashmika Mandanna is one of the leading actresses in Indian cinema today. Popularly called the “National Crush,” she has gained immense fame through her performances in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. With blockbuster movies like Pushpa 2 and Chhava, she has become a highly sought-after actress. However, her path to success was filled with hardships. In an old interview, Rashmika recalled the financial struggles her family faced before she made it big.
Born in Virajpet, Karnataka, Rashmika grew up in a middle class household with her parents, Suman and Madan Mandanna. She has spoken openly about the difficulties her family faced while trying to make ends meet.

“During my childhood, my parents had a tough time paying rent. There were moments when managing basic expenses was a challenge,” she once shared.
Despite financial struggles, her parents always encouraged her ambitions. She began her journey as a model before stepping into the film industry.
Rashmika debuted in 2016 with the Kannada film Kirik Party. Her talent and dedication quickly made her a star in South Indian cinema. She later expanded into Telugu and Tamil films, earning national recognition. Today, she works alongside top actors and is a well-known name across India.
