The life of actors appears glamorous from the outset while in reality, it isn’t. Actress Rani Chatterjee went through one such instance for her web series Mastram recently, where had shot a scene wearing a chaniya-choli in -5 degree celsius. Mastram, the show that aired on MX Player recently, was based on a popular Hindi erotic writer of the name who took the nation by storm with his stories about the libido of an average common man.
Rani Chatterjee, elaborating on the shoot of this episode, said that the scene was shot in Manali in which she played a woman hailing from Maner (in Bihar), for which she had to wear a chaniya-choli. However, shooting with such costumes in such extreme temperatures didn’t prove easy.
Then, the director of the show had reminded Rani about Sridevi’s experience in Chandni when she had shot in the snow wearing a sari. Having been a fan of Sridevi, it didn’t take much time for Rani Chatterjee to gain inspiration and shoot for the scene. Anshuman Jha, Tara Alisha Berry, Aakash Dabhade, Jagat Rawat, Kenisha Awasthi, Garima Jain, Isha Chhabra and Aabha Paul play other important roles in this series.
