Ram Charan and Jr NTR delivered a remarkable performance in SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster RRR, captivating audiences with their chemistry. The film was a major hit, but Ram Charan has addressed the rivalry between their families.
In a 2023 interview, Charan discussed the competitive nature of his family, which includes several actors. He mentioned, “There’s always a sense of healthy competition. Even with my cousins, and definitely with NTR, there’s competition.” He added that their families have been considered rivals in the film industry for decades.
Charan also commented on whether Rajamouli intended to highlight this rivalry in RRR. He said, “Rajamouli might have wanted to show the rivalry, but he also highlighted our genuine bond off-screen during the film.”
RRR is a historical drama that portrays the lives of two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju, and Komaram Bheem, set in the 1920s. The film blends action, emotion, and music, including the award-winning song “Naatu Naatu.” RRR achieved significant success, becoming the first Indian film to win an Oscar.
Currently, Jr NTR is preparing for his upcoming film Devara: Part 1, while Ram Charan will appear in Game Changer, directed by S Shankar.
