Rajinikanth, the superstar of Indian cinema, has always been open about his past struggles with alcohol and smoking. In a heartfelt throwback moment, he once revealed how his wife, Latha, played a pivotal role in transforming his life. Before entering the film industry, Rajinikanth worked as a bus conductor. During this period, he developed a daily habit of drinking and smoking excessively.
At a public event, Rajinikanth shared how Latha brought positive changes into his life. He recalled meeting Latha on a film set where she had come to interview him. The two felt an instant connection, and by the end of the interview, Rajinikanth had already proposed to her. Their marriage, which has lasted over four decades, marked a turning point in Rajinikanth’s life.
During a celebration of Y Gee Mahendran’s play, *Charukesi*, Rajinikanth expressed his gratitude to Mahendran for introducing him to Latha. He spoke candidly about his unhealthy habits, admitting that he used to drink every day and smoke countless cigarettes.
