When Nayanthara refused to work in THIS Bollywood star hero film
Ten years ago, Nayanthara was offered a chance to work in the Bollywood film Chennai Express alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Rohit Shetty, the director, wanted her to make a special appearance in the song “One Two Three Four.” However, Nayanthara had to decline this opportunity due to personal reasons. Eventually, Priyamani took on the role for the popular song.
Some reports suggested that Nayanthara’s refusal was linked to her breakup with Prabhudeva. The song was choreographed by Prabhudeva’s brother, Raju, which possibly influenced her decision to step away from the project.

Although she missed this opportunity, Nayanthara made her much-anticipated Bollywood debut a decade later with Jawan, a film that also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay Sethupathi. In an interview with Hello magazine, she expressed her admiration for Shah Rukh Khan, mentioning how respectful he is towards women and how she felt confident that Jawan would be a massive success. True to her words, Jawan went on to break multiple box office records.
Nayanthara has been busy with a variety of projects. She was last seen in the film Annapoorani, which was released on Netflix. Her upcoming films include The Test, where she co-stars with R. Madhavan, and a romantic movie with Kavin titled Mannangatti: Since 1960, directed by Dude Vicky. The latter film also features Yogi Babu in a key role.
