When Kichcha Sudeep took odd jobs to pursue his passion
Kichcha Sudeep is a well-known name in the Kannada film industry, celebrated for his talent and versatility. However, before reaching stardom, Sudeep faced challenging times, earning just ₹500 a month despite being the son of a wealthy hotelier-turned-producer.
In his early days, Sudeep worked at a clothing store and played cricket for his state’s under-17 and under-19 teams to support himself. Despite his affluent background, he chose self-reliance over family support, never taking financial help from his father.
Determined to pursue acting, Sudeep joined the Roshan Taneja School of Acting in Mumbai. This training helped him overcome shyness and develop the skills needed to perform confidently before the camera.

Sudeep’s film career began in 1997 with the movie Thayavva. While he acted in a few films initially, his breakthrough came in 2001 with the romantic drama Huchcha. Over the years, he expanded his talents, becoming not only an actor but also a screenwriter, director, producer, and television presenter.
One of his most notable contributions has been hosting the reality show Bigg Boss Kannada for over ten seasons. Recently, however, Sudeep announced his departure from the show after the current season.
On the professional front, Sudeep’s latest release, Max, has been a massive success, breaking several box office records within a day of its release.
