Hrithik Roshan once shared an inspiring memory from his childhood when he worked with the legendary actor Rajinikanth on the 1986 film Bhagwaan Dada. In an interview in 2017, while promoting his movie Kaabil, Hrithik fondly recalled his experience working alongside Rajinikanth. The superstar, who enjoys a massive fan following worldwide, displayed immense kindness towards the young Hrithik.
Hrithik, then a child actor, mentioned how Rajinikanth was always gracious and forgiving on set. Hrithik said that during the shoot, whenever he made a mistake or struggled with his lines, Rajinikanth would often step in and take the blame himself. Rajinikanth would tell the director, “Sorry, I made a mistake,” making sure that young Hrithik didn’t feel embarrassed or at fault. This gesture left a deep impression on Hrithik, who continues to cherish those memories with great affection. He described Rajinikanth as someone who made him feel comfortable and supported during a time when acting was new to him.
Hrithik Roshan’s admiration for Rajinikanth hasn’t diminished over the years. When Rajinikanth received the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2021, Hrithik publicly congratulated him and expressed his admiration once again. Sharing a heartfelt post along with an old picture, Hrithik wrote, “Your aura and persona complement the prestige of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. It makes me so happy to have another reason to celebrate YOUR legend. Lots of love and respect.”
This beautiful bond between Hrithik and Rajinikanth reflects the deep respect and affection that the younger generation of actors has for the veteran superstar.
