Bhagyashree had a dream debut as her first film Maine Pyar Kiya was a roaring hit. However, instead of singing films, the actress surprised after she bid adieu to films by marrying Himalaya Dassani. In an interview she has opened up how late filmmaker Yash Chopra called her ‘stupid’ in front of her son, Abhimanyu Dassani for choosing to quit films post her debuts success.
When further prodded if she had any pressure to give up films post her marriage, she said, “Areh, uss time toh hoga hi na! After Maine Pyaar Kiya, puri duniya ki chahat thi meri liye. I might have had the self doubt but people found me to be a pretty looking girl. I had the success and my husband was in his early 20s. Both of us decided to get married so early. So having someone who’s adored by the entire world and is yours, you don’t want to share them with anyone, no? So yes, of course.”
Bhagyashree is now making her comeback in South film Prabhas20, where is supposed to be playing mother’s role. The other details of the film are yet to be announced.
