Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaj which released on January 10 has been a major hit, grossing over ₹156 crores worldwide. The film’s success has added to Balakrishna’s legacy as a box-office star.
Meanwhile, Balakrishna shared a personal experience during the film’s success celebrations. He recalled how, while shooting for Aditya 369, he had suffered a severe back injury after wearing black clothes. Following that incident, he decided to stop wearing black shirt on Sundays. So Balakrishna never wears a black colour shirt on Sundays.

On the work front, Balakrishna’s next project is Akhanda 2 directed by Boyapati Srinu. The film is being shot in Prayagraj and is set against the backdrop of the Maha Kumbh Mela.
