Salaar is one of the most anticipated Indian films this year, starring the pan-Indian sensation Prabhas and directed by the renowned Kollywood filmmaker Prashanth Neel. Despite its scheduled release on September 28 and plans for a grand release in the USA, the film’s promotional efforts seem to be lacking.
Even though the movie has been in the making for over a year, there hasn’t been a single track released from the film. The only promotional material so far has been a short teaser.
Given the significance of Salaar, relying on subdued promotions won’t suffice, even with Prabhas in the lead. To ensure a wider audience reach, the production team needs to initiate a robust promotional campaign, preferably starting from next week.
If the current minimal promotional approach continues, potential viewers might be hesitant to experience it in cinemas, possibly due to perceived limited potential at the box office.
The film also boasts the talents of Sruthi Haasan, Jagaapthi Babu, and Prithviraj Sukumaran in important roles. Backed by Hombale Films and with music composed by Ravi Basrur, a more proactive promotional strategy is essential to maximize its success.
