The film is about the story of a non-descript rural village in Telangana. Set against the backdrop of the Singareni region, Nani plays the role Dharani, a seeming bruised youngster living a dreadful life in the coal mine region.
We all know, how Nani prods big on commercial cinema. Right from the initial stages of his career, he has been lucky enough to land scripts that earned a good name. But ‘Dasara’ is altogether appears to be a different flick.
In the teaser and the promos, he is seen speaking in the rural Telangana dialect. Film analysts feel that audiences won’t love it if he speaks fake Telangana accent. We have seen films with fake Telangana accents falling flat at the box office. The recent case of Ravi Teja mouthing dialogues in Telangana dialect in ‘Waltair Veerayya’. Of course, the film is a hit but such scenes with the fake accent put fans in embarrassment.
The second reason is – Nani should come out of the commercial ambit of moviemaking if he wants the desired result. And the story alone should speak.
The third one — Natural star should keep himself away from making unwanted public statements like the one he made recently comparing ‘Dasara’ with ‘RRR’. Because trollers look for the right chance to throw tantrums if anything goes wrong with respect to the film.
