Vishal, the acclaimed actor who earned praise for his recent hit, “Mark Anthony,” is currently busy with his 34th movie. This new film, titled “Rathnam,” is directed by Hari and is being jointly produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam and Zee Studios, with Kalyan Subramaniam and Alankar Pandian as co-producers. The movie’s makers recently revealed the film’s title and shared a teaser called “First Shot.”
The teaser opens with scenes showing trucks heading towards a location adorned with idols of gods. Vishal is seen emerging from one of the trucks and confronts a restrained man, ultimately severing his head. The title “Rathnam” is unveiled amidst a dramatic display of blood, setting a powerful tone for the movie. This initial scene is filled with intense action.
This collaboration marks the third venture between Vishal and director Hari, following their previous successes with “Bharani” and “Pooja.” Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music, and the cinematography is handled by M Sukumar, showcasing stunning visuals coupled with a gripping background score.
The film stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead, alongside pivotal roles played by Samuthirakani, Yogibabu, and Gautham Vasudev Menon.
