Kollywood Star Vijay Thalapathy is considered a cash machine who has the power to mint money at the box office. However bland and disappointing the story is, his films would collect a hundred crores given his stardom and onscreen appeal.
It is learnt that he is planning to venture into Telugu space. You may wonder why Vijay is targeting Telugu filmmakers when they are consistently dishing out flop films.
Vijay seemed to have liked the Telugu version of ‘Varusu’. He loved the way Vamsi Paidipally handled the last film. Vijay told him to prepare another story which is in the pipeline.
According to the reports from Chennai, Vijay has given the green signal to Tollywood director Gopichand Malineni. Vijay liked a line that the director narrated to him. He asked him to come up with a complete script. So the film is likely to go on floors because Vijay liked Gopichand’s previous films like ‘Krack’ and ‘Veerasimha Reddy’.
It is learnt that Dil Raju was behind the latest developments. Since all the top Telugu heroes are occupied with some or other projects, Dil Raju thought of roping in Tamil heroes.
Meanwhile, it is a chance for Gopichand to expand his market. He is now limited to Telugu movies till now, and he is soon going to be a pan-India director with Vijay’s film.
Vijay Thalapathy is currently working on a project directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj which is being bankrolled under Vijay Sun Pictures. It will complete the shoot by the end of August.
