Vijay Sethupathi quits Pushpa for this reason! Over a long time, it was rumoured that Kollywood popular hero Vijay Sethupathi has been approached for Sukumar starrer Pushpa featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandana. The reports were however true that ’96 hero was approached to play as antagonist but the actor has now confirmed that he has quit the film owing to date clashes.
Revealing further about this, Vijay Sethupathi had said that he was keen to do Pushpa but since he has many films in pipeline like cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan’s biopic to Vignesh Shivan’s untitled flick among others, he won’t be able to come on board for Pushpa. The actor revealed that he met Sukumar in person and revealed about the date clashes. Meanwhile, Vijay will be seen in Buchi-Babu directorial Uppena. The film is the debut of Panja Vaisshnav Tej, nephew of Megastar Chiranjeevi, and has Kriti Shetty as the female lead.
Coming back to Pushpa, this is the third collaboration of Sukumar and Bunny after Arya and Arya 2. Having multi-lingual release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, it is bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.
