Tollywood hunk Vijay Deverakonda from an unknown face has become a popular household figure. The actor apart from doing movies, has stepped in to ventures likes clothes apparel – Rowdy Wear. And now he is all set to begin another big venture. Looks like Vijay is following the suit of superstar Mahesh Babu.

Akin to Mahesh Babu’s multiplex brand, Vijay Deverakonda is all set to start his multiplex brand – AVD in collaboration with Asian Cinemas. “It’s a three-screen multiplex and the work has begun recently and we are aiming to complete it by summer,” says Sunil Narang of Asian Cinemas. Deverakona will start the multiplex in Mahbubnagar, his home town.

Recently, when quizzed how he chooses scripts he says he strives to entertain audience by developing a connection with them through his films. “As an actor I strive to entertain the audience, and by not only doing films in general but doing films that the audience connects with,” Vijay said. He further elaborates, “My character ‘Vijay Govind’ in ‘Geetha Govinda’ is in line with that idea. ‘Geetha Govindam’ is very different from the movies I have done in the past and hence I wasn’t initially very convinced about the genre. But the character helped me step out of my comfort zone. ‘Geetha Govindam’ is a full-on wholesome entertainer which can be watched with the family”.
