Vijay Deverkonda could have easily scored a hit by now if he had joined hands with Sukumar, just after ‘Pushpa 1’.The story that Sukumar intended to do with Vijay was about a soldier in the Indian Army during the ’70s when India was at war with China and Pakistan. But Sukumar’s film ‘Pushpa’ received a humongous response.
Eventually, the director got busy with the second franchise, and slowly the project with Vijay got sidetracked. This is when Vijay pinned massive hopes on ‘Liger’ which proved to be a disaster at the box office. Later, ‘Pushpa’ went on to rule the world. But Vijay and the entire Liger team suffered a huge loss.
He is expected to come up with a script similar to ‘Rangasthalam’ for Ram Charan. But the decision is taken once he is done with the completion of ‘Pushpa 2. If it is so, his next film with Ram Charan is most likely going to be a massive hit.
Close to eight months now, Vijay is not making any noise. But he is occupied with his other stuff like overseeing his volleyball team and his clothing business. He is still shooting for ‘Kushi’ starring Samantha in the lead. But the question is will he make any moves that can materialise something with Sukumar.
