Vijay Deverakonda has roped in Mumbai girl Avantika Mishra which is bankrolled by him. Avantika has already done a few Telugu films in the past and seeing the impressive work the makers decided to cast her. However, it wasn’t a cakewalk for Avantika as she has the audition before getting finalised. The actress will be the lead lady next to Tharun Bhascker.
“It is a very young team. Since her role is that of an aspiring actress, she believes that there is a lot of spunk to her role. Indeed, a portrayal of strength and elegance combined,” informs a source. WIth young and vibrant technical team the film went on floors recently.
For the uninitiated, Avantika was seen in Maaya, Meeku Meere Maaku Meeme and was last seen in Vyshakam. On the other side, Vijay is busy with Dear Comrade. His co-actor Rashmika Mandanna recently opened on the row over the lip-lock in the teaser. She said, “The particular scene in the movie demanded it. That’s why I did it. No movie should be judged solely on the basis of a lip-lock scene. It should be seen in its entirety. People accepted Geetha Govindam and I am sure about this movie as well”.
