Vidaamuyarchi Ajith’s next remake of this Hollywood film
Ajith Kumar’s upcoming Tamil thriller film Vidaamuyarchi has sparked considerable interest with its second poster release. Unlike the lukewarm reception to the first poster, this new reveal has reignited excitement among Thala fans.
There’s speculation swirling around whether Vidaamuyarchi might be an official adaptation of the 1997 Hollywood movie Breakdown. This American thriller, directed by Jonathan Mostow, stars Kurt Russell, J.T. Walsh, and Kathleen Quinlan in key roles.
In Breakdown, the plot revolves around a married couple, Jeff (Kurt Russell) and Amy Taylor (Kathleen Quinlan), whose cross-country journey turns nightmarish after their car breaks down in the New Mexico desert. When Amy goes missing after accepting help from a truck driver named Red Barr (J.T. Walsh), Jeff launches a frantic search to find her, despite Barr’s denial of any involvement.
