Vetrimaaran responds to Jr NTR’s request to collaborate on Tamil film
Recently, Jr NTR expressed his desire to collaborate with acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Vetrimaaran, during the promotions for his upcoming film Devara. Jr NTR openly praised Vetrimaaran’s work and said he wished to do a Tamil film with the director, which could later be dubbed into Telugu.
Vetrimaaran has now responded to this request in a video that has gained attention on social media. When asked about Jr NTR’s statement, Vetrimaaran confirmed that they had already met and discussed potential ideas for a future project. However, the director emphasized that their collaboration could only move forward once both of them had finished their current commitments.
Vetrimaaran stated, “We have already met before. I discussed an idea with him. We will work together once we finish our current commitments.” This news has further excited fans who are eager to see the two talented individuals work together.

For those unfamiliar, Jr NTR’s interest in working with Vetrimaaran came up during the press meet for his film Devara: Part 1. The actor made it clear that he admired Vetrimaaran’s work and believed a collaboration could result in a powerful cinematic experience.
On the professional front, Jr NTR’s next film Devara has already generated a great deal of anticipation. The film, which co-stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, is set to release on September 27, 2024. This marks Jr NTR’s first solo release in six years, following the massive success of RRR directed by SS Rajamouli.
