Valimai Movie Review

Ahead of the big release of Bheemla Nayak, Ajith Kumar is out with his new film Valimai which has been released now. Read on to see if the film has any juice in it or not.

Plot

The film is based in the city of Chennai where a gang of riders commit multiple frauds like Chain snatching, murders, and drug peddling. Left with no choice, the police department brings in ACP Arjun(Ajith) to nab the criminals who are headed by Karthikeya. How will Arjun solve this big case is the crux of Valimai.

Performances

Ajith is looking quite young in this film as he has played a cop. When it comes to action sequences, he is quite good. All his action episodes are very good and the bike stunts will impress you big time. Karthikeya is good in his role but he over acts to no extent when it comes to the end potions of the film. Huma Qureshi is also neat in her role but has no romantic angle with Ajith.

Analysis

Valimai is an action film and clicks only when the action part is showcased. It has some of the best stunts for a Telugu film but gets bogged down by slow pace.

Yes, slow pace is a villain in this thriller. The hero’s brother gets involved with the baddies and this creates an emotional angle which is handled quite badly by the director H Vinoth which also bores the audience.

The film has a roller coaster kind of a feel. While some good stunts are on, there are also scenes which prolong the film for no reason. The action choreography is just amazing and fans will love Ajith in the bike scenes.

The manner in which the three hour runtime takes a toll on you should be kept in mind when you watch this film. If you don’t mind such things and love Ajith in an action packed role, Valimai is for you.

Bottom Line – Good Action Dull Drama
