US academician Tom Nichols has come under fire over his tweet for calling “Indian food is terrible and we pretend it isnt.” IN fact, Twitterati including Zomata India expressed strong discontentment over his tweet. It all began after Jon Becker’s post asked netizens to write about their “most controversial food opinion”. “Please quote tweet this with your most controversial food opinion, I love controversial food opinions,” Jon Becker said in his post. Along with others, Tom also responded but was severely trolled by the netizens.

The fact that you personally don't like the taste of something, does not make it "bad."

Doubt if you've been exposed to, let alone tasted, 1% of dishes Indians eat. Incidentally, there's nothing called "Indian" food except maybe the limited fare labeled so overseas. Here we have a different cuisine every couple of 100 km. https://t.co/MTjW9kAtDV

Unless you've literally tried every single type of Indian cuisine there is no way you can make such a general statement.
