Upendra’s UI OTT streaming date locked

Upendra Rao’s sci-fi film UI is preparing for its digital release. The movie will stream on Sun NXT in January 2025.

UI was released in theaters on December 20, 2024, before Christmas. It gained attention for its unique storyline and is performing well in theaters. Fans who missed it in cinemas can now look forward to its OTT debut. Although the exact date is not confirmed, reports suggest it may be available by January 30, 2025.

The movie explores identity, societal norms, and philosophy. The story begins with a young woman who gives birth to two sons. One son, Satya, represents truth and righteousness. The other, Kalki Bhagavan, claims to be a deity and seeks revenge. This sets up a rivalry between them. Satya embodies justice, while Kalki represents vengeance. The film also highlights issues like power struggles and environmental concerns.

Upendra plays the lead role in the movie. Reeshma Nanaiah appears as Nandini, and Sadhu Kokila plays the Joker. Other cast members include Vinayak Trivedi, Murali Sharma as Kiran Adarsh, and P. Ravi Shankar as Vaamana Rao. Achyuth Kumar and Nidhi Subbaiah are also part of the cast.

Upendra directed and wrote the movie. G. Manoharan, Sreekanth K. P., and Bhaumik Gondaliya produced it. H. C. Venugopal handled the cinematography, and Vijay Raj B. G. was in charge of editing. B. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the music.

UI was released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi. Critics praised the movie, and it became one of the highest-grossing Kannada films of 2024. Fans eagerly await its arrival on Sun NXT to experience its intriguing storyline.
