As we approach the end of 2024, the Telugu film industry faces uncertainty regarding its upcoming major releases. After the highly anticipated release of Pushpa 2 in December, expectations for the next few months have taken a hit. Films that once appeared to be exciting prospects now seem to carry a sense of doubt.

One of the most talked-about films is Game Changer, featuring Ram Charan and directed by Shankar. Initially considered a brilliant collaboration, the film now raises concerns following the disappointing performance of Indian 2. The long production time of three years has contributed to a feeling of stagnation, and fans express disappointment over the lack of excitement in the promotional materials. Set for release on January 10, 2025, many are unsure if it can meet their expectations.

Similarly, Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu, announced in 2019, was once a highly anticipated project. Directed by Krish and produced by AM Ratnam, it promised to be Pawan’s significant comeback. However, continuous delays, including the change of directors, have diminished its buzz. Now scheduled for March 28, 2025, the film struggles to regain the excitement it initially garnered.

Prabhas’s upcoming film, Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, also faces scrutiny. Maruthi has not had a successful track record with big heroes, and with the release date set for April 10, 2025, fans are left questioning the choice of director for such a high-profile actor.

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara was expected to be a highlight, particularly given its return to the mystical genre.
