Producer-turned-director Janamstar Satya Reddy has credit for successfully producing 52 films including hits like ‘Sardar Chinnapareddy’, ‘Ayyappa Deeksha’, ‘Rangula Kala’, ‘Siddham’, ‘Kurrakaru’, ‘Pratyusha’, ‘T Nagar’ (Tamil), ‘Shankar Dada Zindabad’ in which actress Karisma Kotak acted.
Now, Satya Reddy has chosen a unique subject of ‘Ukku Satyagraham’. Satya Reddy is directing the film as well as producing it under the banner Janam Entertainment.
Starring Sathya Reddy as the protagonist, the film is set in the backdrop of Visakha Steel Plant. The shooting of this film has been completed and the post-production activities have begun.
Popular singer Gaddar has played a key role in this film. ‘Gajuwaka Pulsar Bike’ Jhansi is being introduced as the female lead in the film.
Vizag MP MVV Satyanarayana, Chodavaram MLA Karanam Dharmashree, Meghna, Leaders of Steel Plant Porata Committee – Ayodhya Ram, Adinarayana, Venkatarao, Prasanna Kumar, KSN Rao, Meera, Palnadu Srinivasa Reddy, Ramana Reddy, Hanumaiah, Appikonda Apparao, Babanna, and Singh among others who played key roles.
Talking about this movie, lead actor-director Satya Reddy said that the film tells the story of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and the struggle and sacrifices behind its achievement in the 1970s. “And also the present-day story of the steel plant shows the need for conserving it at a time when the government is mulling for disinvestment,” he added.
Another interesting part is the union leaders of the Steel Plant, employees and victims associated with the Steel Plant have acted in the film. “This film is closer to reality and makes the youth think. Gaddar, Goreti Venkanna, Suddala Ashok Teja, Satya Reddy, Majhi Devisree wrote wonderful songs,” the director added. Srikoti’s music is a highlight. He said that a pre-release ceremony will be held at RK Beach soon. A popular personality will be invited as chief guest for this ceremony.
Music is composed by Sri Koti while Venkat Chakri is the cinematographer.
