Uddhav Thackeray, Shiv Sena chief, will be the first member of the Thackeray family to become Maharashtra chief minister. Also for the first time ever, the regional party founded in 1966 by Uddhav’s father Balasaheb Thackeray, is joining hands with the Congress and the NCP.
