Two alleged suicides in Bollywood and one more today that took place in a span of two months in Mumbai. Television actor and model Sameer Sharma was found hanging from his kitchen ceiling at his house in Malad West on Wednesday night. An accidental death report has been registered and body sent for autopsy. No suicide note has been recovered. The Malad Police said, “Looking at body’s condition, it’s suspected that he died by suicide two days back.”
The 44-year-old actor lived in Neha CHS building, situated at Ahinsa Marg, Malad West. He moved to his rented apartment in Chincholi Bunder, Malad West in February this year, the police added. They are searching the actor’s house thoroughly for any evidence. Any financial irregularities will also be probed. They said that they found Sameer’s body while on rounds in his locality during night duty. The watchman of the society noticed Sameer’s body hanging from the kitchen window and alerted the society members who later reached out to the cops.
Sameer has acted in popular TV shows including Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Left Right Left and Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu thi. He was last seen in Yeh Rishte Hain Pyaar Ke where he played Kuhu’s father Shaurya Maheshwari on the show. The actor had also acted in many movies including Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Du and Hasee To Phasee.
