Time was when director Trivikram Srinivas and Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) had the best of the professional relationship. They were chums of the first order and churned out delectable stuff in the process. But, after S/O Satyamurthy, Trivikram started working with other music directors setting aside DSP.
He tried Micky Meyer for A Aa, Anirudh for Agnyaathavaasi and Thaman for Aravinda Sametha. The trend seems to continue even with his next project with Bunny. He is going to have Thaman do the job of scoring the music.
Sources say that Bunny, the hero of the film, rooted for DSP, but Trivikram not just vetoed the proposal but also said that DSP is not as flexible as Thaman is. The Filmnagar is abuzz with the talk of this DSP-Trivikram rift and is asking why DSP, whose career is facing a downturn, is not trying to make amends.
