Shoojit Sircar’s successful film Piku starring Deepika Padukone created a big buzz during the time of release. Deepika played the titular role while Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan played the other lead roles. According to the Kollywood reports, the Tamil remake is on the cards. Trisha Krishnan is in consideration for Deepika Padukone’s role, and the official confirmation on the same will be out soon.Touted to be a comedy-drama, the movie collected an overall gross of 100 crore rupees at the box-office globally.
