In the aftermath of the Mansoor Ali Khan controversy, beloved actress Trisha Krishnan finds herself yet again in the crosshairs of defamation, this time courtesy of former AIADMK politician AV Raju.
The politician, during a recent press conference, unleashed unfounded allegations against Trisha, tarnishing her reputation by falsely linking her to the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi Palaniswami. The unwarranted attack has garnered support from various celebrities rallying behind the actress.
Unfazed by the baseless accusations, the Thug Life actress has taken a decisive stance. Following a tweet addressing the issue, she escalated the matter by serving a legal notice to AV Raju through her legal representatives.
Upset by the distress caused by false comments for four days, the actress has taken legal action. She filed a defamation suit, requesting AV Raju to publicly apologize in a newspaper with over 5 lakh followers. The Vishwambhara actress’ legal team also insisted that AV Raju remove all links in electronic media, social platforms, and websites at his own cost, as these shared comments hurt the actress.
At the same time, the actress’s attorney made it clear that if the required unconditional apology is not received within 24 hours of receiving the notice, legal action will be initiated through the court system.
