Trisha chooses THIS profession as her favorite over acting
Trisha Krishnan is one of the most successful South Indian actresses, but in her early career, acting wasn’t her first choice. Initially, Trisha preferred modeling and even pursued it seriously while she was still a high school student. She participated in beauty pageants and started receiving modeling offers during this period.
In an interview with actor Yugi Sethu, Trisha discussed her choice of modeling over acting. When asked why she leaned toward modeling, she explained that it was something she enjoyed. She admitted that acting didn’t appeal to her at that time, saying, “It’s not my cup of tea.”
Despite this initial hesitation, Trisha eventually made her mark in the film industry. She debuted in 1999 with a minor role in the film Jodi. Her first major success came in 2003 with the film Saamy, where she starred alongside Vikram. Over the years, she went on to star in several blockbuster movies such as Ghilli with Thalapathy Vijay and 96 with Vijay Sethupathi.
In a twist of fate, Trisha even acted alongside Yugi Sethu in the movie Thoongavanam, starring Kamal Haasan. Her career spans over two decades, during which she became one of the highest-paid actresses in the South Indian film industry.

Recently, Ghilli was re-released in theaters and broke several box office records. Trisha’s future projects include the highly anticipated Vidaa Muyarchi alongside Ajith Kumar and Vishwambhara with Chiranjeevi.
Interestingly, there are also rumors of her reprising her role in the sequel to 96, directed by Prem Kumar.
